pat armour has been involved with embroidery since the age of 6 and with the Toronto Guild of Stitchery/EAC for over 20 years. She enjoys quilting, crewel work, stumpwork, counted work and just about anything that uses a threaded needle and likes to design needlework projects that can be turned into useful items.
Stumpwork: Tangled Vines (hands-on 25) This small piece is based on one of many stumpwork techniques designed to make the curling vines have dimension even though they are still attached to the background cloth. Using the simple technique of wrapped stem stitch and a couple of colours you will be able to stitch a small piece that can easily be made up into a business card holder or transit pass holder.
