A New Attraction at Creativ!
The Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc. is joining with Creativ Festival for 2 days of re-enacting the middle ages right on our show floor.
These members really take it seriously about getting into the role and re-enactment of medieval times. For the very first time, they will be on our show floor re-enacting the middle ages with authentic tools, costumes and more.
They will be dressing up in period clothing and providing a medieval times living history interactive exhibits promoting the arts during that time. These will include… Illumination and Calligraphy, Tablet Weaving, Chain Maille, Naalbinding, Viking Wire Weaving, Finger Braiding, Drop Spindle Spinning, Needlepoint, Gold Work, Black Work and Couching.
You will find them at Booth #269.
Members of the SCA practice many arts, sciences, and pastimes of the Middle Ages and Renaissance, both to broaden their knowledge, and to enhance the atmosphere at Society events. They do this through research, study, and practice, and then share their results with others.
“The SCA is an international organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the arts and skills of pre-17th-century Europe. Our “Known World” consists of 19 kingdoms, with over 30,000 members residing in countries around the world.
