1 Stop Alpaca Farm formerly Spinning Wheel Alpacas

Nancy Hutchison, owner of 1 Stop Alpaca Farm, has been busy restructuring her business to bring it more current to today’s creative trends. You will remember Nancy from Creativ Festival as she was formerly known as Spinning Wheel Alpacas.

Nancy hand raises about 65 Alpacas at her home farm located north east of Oshawa Ontario Canada. As shown in her website, her farm is relaxing and a wonderful location to raise these gorgeous creatures. There is also a store at her home where you can pick up raw fibres and finished clothing merchandise.

1 Stop Alpaca Farm offers tours and educational lessons about the creatures. You will know from Nancy’s appearances at Creativ Festival that she cares deeply for Alpacas and carefully watches her Alpaca while at the show. She is knowledgeable on the personalities of Alpaca and each of the 65 Alpacas have a name.

In previous shows, you’ve been fortunate to have met Ozzie. Ozzie has grown up and is still much loved. This year, Nancy is bringing Windi to Creativ Festival. Windi’s mother abandoned her, leaving Nancy to hand feed and provide the love that this tender little Alpaca needs. Speaking from first hand experience, when you talk to Windi, she murmurs back and is the cutest thing ever.

Alpacas tend to be very skeptical of human intervention, however, due to the hands on approach to care for Windi, Windi loves human interaction. See this video below to meet Windi and see her personality. As Nancy would admit, her personality is abnormal for an Alpaca. You should see how excited Windi gets when Nancy comes in to the barn. Windi gets so excited, she pronks over to Nancy immediately.

This show, Nancy and The Crochet Crowd are teaming up to create a carnival theme where they intend on making an area that is filled with inspiration.
