Gio Gaudet – This Georgian-Canadian fashion and textile designer has impressed North America with his exquisite hand-made woolen felted coats featuring a fusion of colour, refined and new felting techniques and 100% natural fibres. Known for melding the ancient Georgian art of felting with modern silhouettes, perfect fit and vivacious colours, he and his partner created their exquisite line of outerwear and accessories, Gaudet.
It is not surprising that his designs have been showcased at LG Fashion Week in Toronto, as well as Hong Kong Fashion Week 2010. His unique, artistic creations have been sold to boutiques across Canada and his designs featured in numerous publications, including Elle Canada, Flare, Faze, Pie Magazine, and Zoomer. His work has also been showcased on Fashion Television, Breakfast Television, The Nanuka Show, and New Tang Dynasty Television.
In 2012, Gio has once again amazed the felting community by joining forces with CREATE YOUR STYLE with SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS to create luxurious fabric like we have never seen before.
