The Twisted Stitchers Quilt Guild, established in 2005, is a small, but dedicated, group who meet in Ajax, east of Toronto. They have about 60 members and meet once a month plus on workshop and charity-work days.
They may be small, but they are mighty… as they are a teaching and charity guild that benefits their community with many donations to local organizations such as: Ajax-Pickering Hospital, Ballycliffe Lodge – Retirement and Nursing Home, The Red Cross, Girl’s Inc. and others.
At Twisted Stitchers Quilt Guild meetings they enjoy guest speakers, workshops, challenges, an extensive library, show and share, fat-quarter frenzy, pot-luck dinners and lots of laughs.
But, the most important aspect about the guild, other than sharing their love of quilting, is the friendships they develop. They say, “After all… quilters are never strangers… Strangers are just friends we haven’t found yet!”
Twisted Stitchers Quilt Guild welcome all quilters, whether beginners or advanced and anyone who wants to learn more about the art of quilting, while helping the community.
