Robert W. Haven
Robert W. Haven is a well known tambour beading instructor from Lexington, Kentucky who is officially certified by Lesage, the famed embroidery atelier in Paris. He has also earned Certification from the Royal School of Needlework. Robert has been showcased at the 2007 Montana World of WearableArt™ Awards Show in New Zealand and is a retired costumer at the University of Kentucky. He regularly teaches master classes in this technique at his Lexington Kentucky studio, Bead Embroidery and Design Studio as well as at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, Ryerson University in Toronto, Lacis in Berkley CA, and internationally in Mexico City, and at the Royal School of Needlework in London. Robert believes that ‘Tambour beading is an important technique that many fashion designers need to know and preserve for generations to come’.
