Vanessa Walilko
Vanessa Walilko has been teaching chainmaille and beadwork for a number of years and loves teaching others ancient crafts. After taking a seed bead jewellery class when she was eight, Vanessa was immediately hooked and has been designing jewellery ever since.
Vanessa specializes in putting her meticulous creativity to good use by creating large pieces of chainmaille clothing, as well as beaded jewellery and sculpture. Her chainmaille jacket won 2nd place in the Wirework category and the People’s Choice Award in the 2010 Bead Dreams competition. She was also awarded the grand prize in the Fashion Fever Sewing and Fashion Design competition held at the CHA Craft SuperShow. She took home First Place in the Pendants/Necklaces category of the 2010 Jewellery Arts Awards. Vanessa also received First Place in both the Seed Bead Work – Jewellery category and the Wirework and Chainmaille Jewellery category in the 2010 British Bead Awards.
