Jennifer Houlden
Jennifer Houlden began quilting over 10 years ago while living in Yellowknife, NWT as something to do on those long cold days of winter. Little did she know that quilting would become her passion and lead her in a new career direction back when she took it up as a hobby. From Yellowknife she and her husband along with their three animals moved to the Australian Outback. It is here that she started designing, creating and writing patterns after taking an online class with the owner of Arbee Designs, Ruth Blanchet. Jennifer has been designing and teaching for Arbee Designs ever since. Upon Jennifer’s return to Canada two years ago her company Quilts by Jen has developed and grown. Jennifer teaches at local quilt shops and guilds and designs patterns under her own label and Arbee Designs.
