East Meets West: Patternmaking Techniques (25) All Levels
Eastern designers such as Issye Miyake and Rei Kawakubo have a knack for designing unique garments from simple rectangles and squares. Susan introduces you to jackets, tops, wraps and a process by which to analyze designer garments in the eastern mode. Knitters and sewers alike will benefit from this class. Plan to gain an appreciation for historic, ethnic and modern design as you create miniature paper patterns and/or miniature fabric garments. Bring: Graph paper to create paper patterns.
