Project Prep Class (25) All Levels
It’s about getting all the info to prepare a project. We’ll start with how to use Ravelry.com to find a knitting pattern and choose a size and design that flatters you and your figure. Learn how to choose or substitute the right yarn for any project and measure gauge with Rae Brenne. See why gauge is so important, discover how to choose the best needles for you and get tips to care for your finished project. Bring: A selection of needles with yarn to match, tape measure, stitch markers & Ipad or tablet (if you have one).
3 Hour Workshop.
Knitting 911 Bootcamp (25) Beginner +
Learn how to recognize and fix your own mistakes! Master how to unknit, pick up dropped stitches, fix twisted stitches and rip back and fix holes AFTER the project is complete. You may bring projects that need TLC to be fixed and we’ll work on those in class as well. Pre-requisite: Know how to knit & purl. Bring: 5mm knitting needles.
1.5 Hour Workshop.
Cast Ons & Cast Offs (25) Beginner +
Expand your knitting knowledge and take your knitting to the next level as you work on 5 different cast on and cast off methods while making a small swatch. Discover the uses and purposes for each cast on and cast off and which projects are best suited for each technique when a pattern doesn’t specify. Pre-requisite: Know how to knit & purl. Bring: 5mm knitting needles.
