Linda Lachance of Sudbury, Ontario has been designing and stitching for twenty eight years. She started a needlework design business, Northern Pine Designs in 1987. Her first love is canvaswork with emphasis on developing textures and colour using many different threads and stitches. She is also knowledgeable in the use of colour, designing techniques, bead embroidery, bead stringing, mixed media quilting, colour and design and many other embroidery techniques including cross-stitch, hardanger, pulled thread, and free-form embroidery. Linda has studied internationally with many teachers and currently teaches in Canada and the U.S. She is active as one of the original members of Needlework Designers of Canada, an organization which fosters the development, growth and promotion of Canadian designers in the business world. www.northernpinedesigns.com
