Creating Contrast in Your Quilting
The key to great traditional quilts and stunning art quilts is contrast. Jennifer explores the world of contrast and shares a few tips and techniques to achieve contrast through use of fabric, design and colour. Learn to arrange opposite elements such as rough and smooth texture, small and large patterns and how to balance the right variety of light with medium and dark values. Master these concepts and incorporate them into your quilt making for pieces that will make everyone look twice!

Stitch & Flip: Designs As You Go
Create eye catching designs while using the stitch and flip method of quilt as you go. Plan out a pattern or design, cut the pieces then sew the strips together. The design will come to life as the strips are sewn one by one to the batting. Use only stitch and flip quilting for a clean, simple finish or embellish further with more stitching, beading, couching or appliqué.
