Mastering Plaids
Love the look of plaids, but not sure how to work with them? Lorna shows you how to distinguish between the different types of plaid, calculate yardage and lay out pattern pieces. Learn how to sew perfectly matching plaids and use plaid as a design feature in your garments. After this session you will be inspired to sew tops, shirts and blouses with gorgeous plaid fabrics in linen, silk and cotton.

Take a classic, perennial favourite pattern and see how many different jackets you can make from it. Whether you choose linen, wool, silk or novelty fabric, learn how easy it is to create a whole wardrobe of jackets from one pattern. Lorna will show you simple modifications that change up the look while adding your own designer touches for a one-of-a-kind garment you will love to wear!
