Local Sheep Farms Influenced Her Passion!
Cecilia Ho has been creating FELTasticFashion Felting DIY kits since 2011. She was born into a family of designers in Hong Kong, her parents being a skilled interior decorator and custom dressmaker.
She was first introduced to felting when she moved to Nova Scotia
With the influence of several local sheep farms in the Annapolis Valley, she discovered her passion to create both unique yet functional wool creations. Her designs are centered around fashion, cake & pâtisserie, as well as whimsical animals because of her two lovely children.
Cecilia Live In Action
Cecilia has offered felting demonstrations and workshops at Creativ Festival, NSDCC Summer Craft Fair, Wolfville Art Fair, farmer’s markets, local craft fairs and yarn shops, as well as to elementary school kids. She enjoys family and friend bonding activities through felting DIY projects. This is also the main reason Cecilia created DIY kits that are easily accessible to everyone and that include all required felting materials and tools. All kit designs are carefully prepared by Cecilia and are suitable for all level of felters, allowing them to practice their felting techniques.
Students work from last fall’s festival!
In addition, everyone can freely add his/her own personality into each creation to make it a conversation piece. Her original “Wool Felted Heart-shaped Statement Necklace” was showcased at the Felt:Feutre Contemporary Felt Fashion Show in Salt Spring Island, British Columbia in September 2013, which was also ranked Top 11 Worldwide in The Woolmark Company 2011, “We Love Wool Fashion by Feelings” Campaign. www.FELTasticFashion.com
