This is a hands-on crash course in Tunisian crochet, which is worked with a hook that has an end like a crochet hook and a shaft like a knitting needle. Explore two methods for making the foundation row. Then learn and practice the basic stitches: the Tunisian Simple, Knit, Purl and Full, as well as the Sunshine and Flame stitches. Learn how to change colour, discuss increases, decreases and finishing edges. Bring: Single ended Tunisian crochet hook, 6.5mm (US size K) or larger – or – purchase in class for $6. Using pre-felted merino with a matching yarn in your choice of 6 fabulous colour ways, you’ll use the felt as embellishment on this quick to knit piece. Circular pieces of felt are cut out and threaded onto Apple Creek chunky yarn and then knit in as you go. This chic fashion accessory is sure to keep you warm while turning heads on the way!
