Rosehaven yarn Shop in Picton, Ontario (otherwise known as Prince Edward County!) is thrilled to announce that we have officially become a flagship store for the Quince & Co. Yarn Company.
This is especially exciting for Canadians because we will be the only store in Ontario to carry their yarn and only the 2nd place in Canada to have it!
Quince & Co. offers wool yarns that are sourced and spun in the US. Known in the trade as “territory wool,” their wool comes from Merino, Rambouillet, and Columbia-based sheep that roam the ranges of Montana and Wyoming. All Their wool and wool-blend yarns are spun in New England mills with venerable histories. By sourcing their wool in the US and manufacturing their yarn locally, they minimize their carbon footprint.
We are now carrying their top four 100% American wool yarns. Chickadee is a lovely plump springy yarn in DK weight. Lark is their worsted weight yarn that is a smooth round 4 ply yarn that loves to show off intricate stitch patterns. Also Osprey has come along to roost on the shelves. Osprey is a cushy, comfy 3 ply aran weight yarn with a relaxed twist. Last but not least is Puffin which is a chunky cushy single-ply yarn that knits up light and lofty.
Along with the wool we are also carrying the two lovely and soft 100% organic linen yarns Sparrow and Kestrel.
We will be showcasing it all at Creativ Festival in Toronto so don’t miss out on the chance to see them, touch them and squeeze them!
