Brenda Miller
Brenda Miller is the owner of Among Brenda’s Quilts and a first generation Canadian quilter. She taught herself to sew at an early age on her Mom’s converted treadle sewing machine. Even as a child, Brenda was convinced that mankind’s greatest invention was thread. She found that she could make almost anything from it woven or unwoven.
As the years passed Brenda tried many different art forms, but the needle arts and sewing kept luring her back. So, it’s no surprise that after marrying into a family with deep roots in quilting she has embraced this wonderful art. Severely and irreversibly bitten by the quilting bug, she loves to inspire others through her work, her classes and her trunk shows. She designs her own quilting patterns under the Among Brenda’s Quilts label and travels with her trunk show and lecture geared to ‘Developing the Designer in You’. Brenda lives with her husband Rob, cat Harry, dog Hershey and six as yet unnamed laying hens at her home in Strathroy, Ontario, Canada.
