In CraftMeLovely’s Own Words
At CraftMeLovely we are devoted to providing you with a happy shopping experience! All of our lovely items were hand-crafted by the owner, Ashley Yankana. Our little company has come a long way from its start as a simple idea. Ashley began designing when she was a little girl and loved it but after some time she decided that her creative side was for hobbies and she knew she needed a “proper” career as society taught her. While working in the corporate world, Ashley stayed in touch with the fashion industry and entered fashion contests here and there; even placing in the top ten for the YES/Toronto Fashion Incubator Passion for Fashion design competition. After over four years of working in the corporate world, gaining a modest income and feeling the stress of the office culture, she decided it was time to regain the definition of true happiness in her work.
Ashley knew the only way to bring this happiness into her work life was to let life inspire her and begin using her creativity to create. Turning back to what she knew she started designing; designing crocheted items, jewellery and more. She creates every item in her at-home studio. With the support of great friends and family, Ashley and a small team were able to create a business plan and this very site to begin selling her talent. Though she loves to create and design, another passion of hers is creative writing. Ashley decided that the online storefront needed something different and added a creative blog. The blog offers inspirational and interesting topics told in a creative story.
CraftMeLovely may be new but we’re excited for what lies in our path ahead and hope you are too! As an independent boutique we’re happy to sell our hand-crafted items to you and hope you always find things you love in our lovely creations.
