Mary Maxim Sweater Kits in collaboration with Roots Canada

This year is special in more ways than one. Last year Roots Canada approached Mary Maxim to collaborate with them, asking to use some of Mary Maxim’s vintage designs for their finished garments. Over the past year they have been working together to bring this programme to both of their customers. Roots would sell the finished items, while Mary Maxim would sell the same sweaters as ‘kits’. So this winter for those who are Roots customers, you can purchase the finished garment, while knitters can knit their own!

There is an entire range of pieces available…right from baby to adult.

The original Mary Maxim ‘Reindeer’ has been redone with the ‘Roots Cabin look’ blended with the Mary Maxim reindeer motif. This is available in both unisex and toddler sizing. There is a delightful snowflake pattern for baby, a nature lovers’ polar bear with trees in youth sizing, and of course, Hockey in both youth and adult sizing. Plus some awesome accessories… like hats and mitts to match! The signature piece for Roots is a Beaver and Maple Leaf fully lined adult sweater. They have only ordered 60 of these in commemoration to our 60th Anniversary. Each of these is actually numbered 1/60 etc. What a trip this has been! The Mary Maxim kits will be available in early December being featured in our catalogue that mails then. Roots plan to have them in their stores mid November. Two great Canadian companies, both with deep roots in Canada.

Plus, you’ll find a collage of sweaters from the past in the Mary Maxim booth #417.
