Peggy Kwan, a registered nurse in emergency for 26 years, she began quilting as a way to relax. She enjoys blending her east and west sensibilities in her quilts and wall hangings, believes there is no right or wrong, and encourages you to be adventurous.

Join Peggy as she takes appliqué up a notch in a discovery of mixed textures and hand embroidery embellishment techniques. Both wool and cotton fabrics form the background on which you will machine appliqué the design elements. Complete your art piece with hand embroidery that incorporates different fabulous threads such as InvisaFil, DecoBob for machine appliqué, Razzle Dazzle, and Variegated Eleganza, WonderFil’s new line of Pearl Cotton. Then, learn how to attach your butterfly for a 3D effect. Your block can be made into a small wall hanging, cushion, bag or for the more ambitious a whole quilt! Kit $20
