The Crochet Crowd is at it again, hooking up their largest display ever as part of our Winter Wonderland theme.
Nutcrackers, Elves & Trees – Oh My!
Larger than life, these Nutcrackers will be standing guard at The Crochet Crowd booth this fall Creativ Festival. Mikey and Diva Dan are still busily adding more and more detail to these impressive giants.
This booth will be hard to miss, as they have also created a huge yarn Christmas tree, and their Knotty Elves will be putting up the final decorations at the show. Rumour has it that these elves aren’t quite on Santa’s “good” list…so be warned!
Snowflake Igloo
Part of what drives The Crochet Crowd is the “crowd” itself. This year, the word has gone out for crochet lovers to donate snowflakes for their latest community initiative. Diva Dan has constructed a enormous 16′ igloo frame, which will be covered with beautiful hand-made crochet snowflakes, each one as individual and unique as the person who made it. You could even contribute a snowflake of your own, and bring your friends to try and spot the snowflake! Making it even more fun, The Crochet Crowd mentors, Dan, Dela, Mikey and Kevin, will be teaching their classes inside the igloo. What an incredible experience that will be!
The Age of Winter
The Crochet Crowd has called upon the Yarnspirations team, and their amazing life-sized display of The Age of Winter, based on the stories of Narnia. Spy upon the Ice Queen and her wolves, visit with the children at the train station, and witness a scene from the battle of Aslan. You will be awed at the amount of detail – and effort! – that went into these knit and crocheted yarn creations.
